So it’s nearly here, the end of a decade.

Considering BAS wasn’t even a twinkle in our eye back in 2010 we’ve come a long way in ten years, and whilst we are full of exciting plans for 2020 (that we can’t wait to share with you), we also wanted to reflect a little on what 2019 has meant to us.

 There’s been great change in our home life as well as many new developments and project these past 12 months. We kicked the year off with a brand new studio in our garden; it’s an amazing space for us to escape to and get creative, with the added bonus that we can work in our slippers! (Not to mention the perfect hide out whilst the house renovations took over and left us without a downstairs living area! But the house is almost finished too and we are rather pleased to be starting the New Year with work and home space in beautiful, colourful, order.)

And of course, we have Teeny back from her travels, her #BASatical has given her so much inspiration and renewed enthusiasm, she’s already been busy creating in the studio.

So whilst life on the home front has been been hectic, fun and productive, we’ve been even busier building our brand, with collaborations, shoots and workshops galore.

Perhaps one of the most fun elements has been appreciating our jewels anew with the discovery that so many of you gain great comfort from the natural energy of crystals, which led us to a happy collaboration with our friends Soulful Hearts in the creation of our very popular New Moon workshops. And we’ve a few new design ideas which incorporate the magic of these stones up our sleeves, so be sure to keep up-to-date via our blog and social media posts.

We also adored was working with the boutique Blush Brides to create our first bridal collection. Not only did Teeny love trying on some amazing dresses, but we were delighted to make some bespoke pieces for many brides; it’s been a real pleasure to see you wearing BAS on your special day; and if you’re getting married this year, then give us a call and let’s chat jewels!

And you can definitely see how much fun we had working with some great local brands and talented people on our “Together” campaign; that was two whole days of laughter and what’s even more rewarding is hearing how much you liked the pieces too, we hope you and your bestie are sporting your matching goodies this Christmas.

As we gear up for our exhibition at Top Drawer 2020 it got us thinking about the many wonderful stockists we’ve met this year. We are lucky enough to be stocked far and wide – even in Japan; that accomplishment always makes us beam with pride. So if you are visiting Top Drawer in January, be sure to come say hi; we love meeting our BAS Humans.

Last but not least, one of our proudest accomplishments has to be the creation of our sustainable range BAS Revival that celebrates our efforts to reduce waste through the re-imagining and re-designing of your unwanted jewels. We’ve been blown away by your enthusiasm for the project and have a treasure trove of pre-loved pieces just waiting to be re-used, so be prepared to be amazed in the New Year with the goodies we’ve planned.

So as 2019 comes to an end, we want to say a big thank you for your continued support and wish you an amazing 2020. And watch this space, because 2020 is going to be filled with lots of BAS sass and sparkle.
