Human Spotlight: Eve Gardner from Red Hair with A Curl Cocktails

Today, let me introduce to our BAS friend, Eve Gardner—a dynamic and creative force I’ve had the privilege of knowing since our school days. Over the years, we’ve worked together, played together, and built countless memories that highlight her vibrant and multifaceted personality.

Eve is a vintage enthusiast with an eye for timeless treasures. She curates a hand-picked selection of vintage bar pieces for her online shop, bringing a touch of nostalgia to modern cocktail parties. As a fully licensed mixologist, she’s also a master at crafting cocktails with as much flair as she approaches life.

Her love for fashion and art shines through in everything she does, reflecting her unique style and creative energy. Beyond her creative pursuits, Eve is a passionate advocate for type 1 diabetes awareness, working to support and inspire others in the community. And let’s not forget her role as a devoted cat mom to a quirky, adorable, and hairless feline companion who adds even more charm to her life.

Eve’s zest for life, compassion, and talent make her an unforgettable friend and an inspiration to those around her.

Here, I chat with Eve about her new role as a model for Black & Sigi and more…

You wear many hats – VM and commercial specialist at H&M, cocktail enthusiast and now a model for Black & Sigi. How did you bring creative flair to the Christmas GLOW campaign photoshoot?

I love storytelling through my creativity. I am the ultimate planner with any project, so pulling together inspiration for photoshoot such as; locations, styling, props helped bring my ideas to life! As the photoshoot felt like a behind the scenes to my life, I had to add my vintage touch. For anyone that knows me, that is a huge part of my identity. And from there it was about finding the perfect outfits that reflected the holiday season and the collection.

What inspired you to step into modelling for Black & Sigi’s Christmas campaign, and how did you prepare for the shoot, getting into character and bringing the vintage vibes?

For me, this was a personal challenge as I really feel more comfortable being behind the scenes on projects like this. Clio has always wanted to collaborate (thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone!), and through Red Hair with a Curl, I thought it was a great way to share more of a step into my world through my personal style, my home and by passion for cocktails!

How do you think your background in Visual Merchandising and cocktail artistry influence your approach to creative projects like this one?

I grew up in an artistic household. My dad is an artist, brother a musician and my husband is a filmmaker, so creativity runs through my veins. For me fashion was always my form of creative expression, and particularly the mid-century era.  I have always loved vintage, whether it is clothing, home wear or the lifestyle. My husband brought me a vintage boat bar 15 years ago, and my passion for cocktail making grew from there.

What does Christmas mean to you personally, and how do you think the Black & Sigi’s jewellery embodies the spirit of the holiday season?

For me, the Christmas season is the time of year for lots of celebrations! I love hosting, so we always have an annual Christmas Cocktail Party and get all family and friends together. The Holiday Glow collection embodies the perfect occasion wear pieces to bring bit of fun and sparkle to your seasonal outfits. It’s so important to have fun with fashion!

What is my favourite piece of jewellery from the collection?

Oooooo, it’s hard to pick just one piece, but I have to say I love the Demeter short cluster silver necklace. I love a statement piece of jewellery! It’s the perfect way to dress up a holiday outfit such as a statement dress or suit or even for a dressed down look with a Band T-shirt and Jeans. It’s such a versatile piece.
