We can send through a new tag at a price of £2. We will send through instructions on how to add this onto your bangle with the order.

To prolong the life of our BAS jewellery we suggest:

Avoid spraying your piece with perfume, creams and hairspray. If you by accident do that it may erode the metal coating and cause tarnishing.

Avoid sunbathing, washing, cleaning or exercising with the jewellery on. Exposure to harsh chemicals, water, bright sunlight and perspiration will affect the quality and may cause damage.

Try your best not to wear your jewellery overnight (unless you are partying into the early hours of the morning).

Take your bangles and rings off using the base, not pulling at the bead.

Store away from air / environment to avoid silver darkening and avoid chains getting tangled. Even though our pieces are friendly, rubbing with other jewellery may damage the stones and metal.

The items you receive should be in perfect condition with plating intact when they arrive. Over time there will be wear and tear on the plating on the areas where there is constant contact with the skin. This often depends on how well the piece is treated, the skin oils and environment you live in. To prolong your piece we suggest:

If your item has arrived faulty, then please contact us at creations@blackandsigi.com, and we will make sure to sort the problem out for you.

Even when the plating wears in certain areas, the copper colour that shows through is actually an added layer to the jewellery and can look very pretty.

We access each repair on a unique basis, and depending on severity can advise on a case by case basis. There is a minimal repair charge of £5, which includes postage back to you.

We offer repairs on all our pieces. Please contact our care team creations@blackandsigi.com in order that we can log your repair. The process will take up to 14 days once we have received the item in the studio.

We can only exchange/return pieces that have been purchased on our website. For returns and exchanges for items bought at individual stockists, please refer to them directly for their policies.

If you have received a faulty piece of jewellery, or the item we have sent is incorrect then we cover the return of the BAS piece. Please fill out our returns form and follow process, making sure to write the reasons for the return.

If you have changed your mind, or you would like to exchange size then we don’t cover return postage.

Please note that a return or exchange takes up to 14 days to process from when we have received your return.

We suggest that your piece is set back to our studio with a tracked postage service in order that you are able to track your item, and when it was received in the studio.

We would be happy to help and exchange your BAS gift. Provided that you are able to let us know who purchased your gift, we will be able to check that the order falls within our returns and exchange policy of 28 days. No refunds can be made without a receipt as proof of purchase.

Vouchers can not be refunded.

As soon as we have received your piece in the studio, it will take 14 days to process. The accounts team will then refund payment back in the same way as it was paid originally.

Of course, you can. Please could you fill out our returns/exchange form, fill out and send back to us. We have a 28 day return and exchange policy, so as long as your order is within the time period, we will be able to process for you.

To return or exchange your BAS piece, please download our returns form,  fill it all in and return back to the customer care team along with your BAS piece. As soon as we received your package we will process your return.

Please note, any pieces that are received outside the returns policy will not be processed.

It makes no difference for us where you live! We want you to be happy with your piece, and therefore the same process applies to all our international customers.

As part of the BAS pledge we try and source as much as we can, and support UK based companies. Where we are unable to do this, we research and find suppliers from all over the world.

Our BAS revival scheme is a perfect way to recycle old jewellery too, so in these cases our materials come from you guys.

The reaction of your skin turning green, comes from the metal copper. As our wires and chains are plated, the base metal copper is protected and your skin should not turn green. In some cases, where plating has worn away and the area is in contact with your skin, you might experience some dis-colouring.  However, this also has a lot to do with the type of skin you have and whether it reacts to the metal.

All silver eventually tarnishes when exposed to oxygen, it is just the natural process of the precious metal. This is easily cleared up by polishing very lightly the piece using a silver cloth and an appropriate silver cleaner. Always be careful not to rub too hard, especially on the plated wires.

We also suggest a natural solution to cleaning the silver which is slightly less abrasive and uses natural products. Line a small bowl with tin foil, then put 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda in the lined bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of cider vinegar on the bicarb, at this point it should fizz. Add boiling water and then place your silver pieces in the solution and leave there for up to 5 to 10 minutes. Once you can see the tarnishing disappear, take out and pat try, and using a soft cloth wipe away any excess water and any stubborn areas.

There is a difference between tarnishing and when the plating wears away, so don’t apply these cleaning methods if it is the latter.

The core of our designs use plated copper wires. Our silver is a 10% sterling silver filled and the gold is a 9ct gold plating. We also use an enamel plated wire for our coloured wires in the Neptune range, for example.

For our luxury designs, we use 925 sterling silver wire and a 14ct gold filled wire. For a full explanation of how these wires are made up, please read our blog post here.

We are launching a scheme with certain stockists around the country, and if you return your box in good condition to this stockist, you will receive a discount to spend in the stockist shop.

Otherwise, we can confirm that our boxes are recyclable. We pledge to reduce all our plastic waste and are trying to become plastic free in 2019.

All orders come in the BAS branded box, ribbons are set to be added for 2019 so we can guarantee a lovingly wrapped parcel. If you would like a handwritten BAS card to accompany your package, then please drop us a note while placing your order so that we can do this for you.

Unfortunately, we don’t sell individual boxes. If you have any issues with a box that you have received then please email us and let us know so that we can send one through to you.

Depending on which item you have ordered, but rings and bangles won’t fit through a standard letterbox. We send all our orders using a signed delivery service to ensure that the package arrives safely to you.

Yes, all our orders will arrive in our signature BAS black box.

We send our items 1stclass signed for. So once the piece has been processed, delivery time should be 2-3 days.

Yes, of course, we can. If this is completed within our 14 day policy then it is no problem as long as the item is still in stock. Please can you fill out the exchange and returns form and send over to creations@blackandsigi.com.

Under each product, where a size needs to be confirmed, you will find an explanation of how to measure your size appropriately.

For bangle sizing, we have 4 different sizes S (19cm), M (20cm) , L (21cm) , and XL (22cm). The way we can gauge what size you will be is by tucking your thumb into your palm, and measuring around your hand knuckles. You can either measure using a soft tape measure or using a piece of string then using a ruler.

Alternatively, if you have a bangle already that you know fits well, measure the diameter from inside edge to inside edge. Compare this measurement with our table to work out your size.

For our ring sizes  we have 4 standard sizes S, M, L, XL. The first step is to measure around the largest part of the finger where you would like to wear our piece. This is often either the knuckle or the bottom part of the finger. Then take this measurement and compare to our charts.

Alternatively, if you know your ring size, we also reference this on the size guide for ease.

Finally, you can measure the diameter of a ring you already have to reference your size.

We will help you wherever we can, if you order doesn’t get to you. Once you have checked and tracked your parcel, in the instance that the postal service misplaces your parcel, we will manage the query for you and find out where the parcel is. Once resolved, we will either send through a replacement order or offer equivalent, if item not available anymore.

In the instance that you have given us an incorrect address, and parcel has been delivered and signed for accordingly, we are not liable for the loss or misplacement. You will need to manage the loss accordingly.
