Stepping into Trudy’s house is a feast to the eyes as big as an all you can eat buffet – Vegas style – But you know, more luxurious. Nestled in a back street of Westcliff on Sea, the terrace house looked quite normal from the outside, but as you step over the threshold you are met with the most glorious of interiors.
Trudy Cross is the lady behind the on line home ware boutique Tin Design. It’s the kind of shop where you want to buy EVERYTHING, and as you search through the treasures that she has sourced, you are secretly planning on a complete house renovation just so you can fit that fabulous Bertie – pink feathered lampshade
We are lucky twofold. Not only does Trudy live up the road, and has a bricks and mortar shop in Leigh on Sea, but we are also doing a house renovation. YES! We know, we all love a house renovation project, and infact we have decorated many rooms so that we can fit many of the accessories and prints that she sells. Her navy blue ceiling alone inspired our black bedroom, and don’t get us started on that yellow sofa.
Trudy accessorises house, we accessorise people. Its an appreciation of making things look and feel a million dollars with those final touches. That’s why we get on. Trudy’s style can be described as a contemporary eclectic style. She opts for bold colours used simply and uses her vintage inspired accessorise to complete interiors in a way that is completely effortless.
The effortless style runs through to her fashion too. Everytime we see her, we want what shes wearing, and like her interior styling, she opts for minimal clothing teamed up with a fabulous bold red lip and statement jewellery. We bonded over her love of a dark ceiling and a good earring, and is now our go to for interior furnishings.
